Founded in 2000

StudioNotes was founded in 2000 by the screenwriter/producer and experienced Hollywood writer and screenplay developer for Columbia Pictures, Sandollar, Columbia TriStar Pictures, and Granada Film among others as well as associate producer for Caravan Pictures and Hollywood Pictures.  As his star has risen, the demands of his many projects necessitated his leaving StudioNotes.  Although today he is no longer with StudioNotes, his vision of having professional studio executives to critique the work of writers and of exposing the best of their writing to major studios, production companies, and agencies has been fulfilled and continues on under the direction of Irwin Berent, President of Screenwriting Software Suite, and all the accomplished executives and studio affiliates that comprise StudioNotes.

Since its founding, StudioNotes has grown into one of the most important Internet vehicles for writers wanting to improve their work and sell their screenplays, teleplays, and manuscripts, and for executives wanting to purchase or represent writers' work.
